By downloading, installing, or using HomePot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the developer of the App.
HomePot is a mobile application for managing shared expenses among groups. Features include: expense tracking, two management modes (Shared Fund and Expense Split), categorization, recurring expenses, monthly closing with contribution calculation, group management with roles, member invitation, profile customization, currency selection, AI Receipt Scanner, advanced statistics (Pro), and data export in CSV/PDF (Pro). The App offers a free plan and a Pro subscription.
HomePot offers a Free Plan (essential features, 1 group, 20 expenses/month) and HomePot Pro (unlimited groups, unlimited expenses, AI receipt scanner with currency conversion, advanced statistics, data export). Pro prices are shown in the App before purchase. Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store, automatically renew, and can be cancelled anytime from device settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. EU users have the right to withdraw within 14 days per the Consumer Rights Directive.
To use HomePot, you must create an account with a valid email, password (minimum 6 characters), and name. You are responsible for maintaining password confidentiality, all activity under your account, and notifying us of any unauthorized use.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or use the App for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
This agreement supplements platform terms: for iOS, it supplements the Apple Standard EULA (Apple's terms prevail in case of conflict); for Android, it supplements Google Play Terms. The license is granted to the end user and is not transferable. The developer (not Apple or Google) is responsible for App content and support.
The App allows uploading images (profile photos, group images, receipt photos). You warrant that you have the rights, the content doesn't infringe third-party rights, and contains no illegal, offensive, or discriminatory material. We reserve the right to remove violating content.
You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws, accuracy of entered data, interactions with group members, device and account security, and resolving financial disputes with group members. HomePot is a tracking tool; actual transactions are conducted outside the App.
HomePot is a tracking and calculation tool, NOT a financial, banking, or payment service. Calculations are indicative based on user-entered data. We do not process payments, are not responsible for financial disputes, and do not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice.
The App, including its design, features, content, and all intellectual property rights, are owned by the developer and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
HomePot stores your data on secure servers (Supabase/AWS). We only collect data necessary for the App to function. See our Privacy Policy for details. Deleting your account or leaving a group may permanently delete certain data.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or disputes with group members.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
You can delete your account anytime from Settings. This permanently erases your profile, memberships, and groups where you are the only member. Expenses in shared groups remain anonymized. Accounts inactive for 2+ years may be automatically deleted with 30 days prior notice.
You can stop using the App anytime by uninstalling or deleting your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access without notice for conduct violating these Terms or harmful to other users.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the user's country of residence. For EU users, local consumer protection laws apply. For US users, the laws of California apply.
EU consumers have rights under EU consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded by contract. You have the right to withdraw from purchases within 14 days per the EU Consumer Rights Directive, unless you have started using the App with express consent.
